War Amps Address Label Mailing Recognizes Public Support
October 18, 2021 - The War Amps 2021 address labels are being mailed to households across the country starting this week with the theme, “We Can’t Thank You Enough,” a tribute to the public for their support of the organization.
Maddux Kerr is a double leg amputee and member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program. In a letter accompanying the address labels, his parents write about how the CHAMP Program has provided financial assistance for his artificial limbs and offered
peer support.
“The War Amps has helped us in more ways than I think we realize,” wrote Maddux’s parents, Jessica and Allan. “They have helped us financially to get the artificial legs Maddux needs, which we are very grateful for. They have also helped us to see we
are not alone and that amazing things are possible for him.”
Sent as a thank you to supporters of The War Amps Key Tag Service, address labels are not just for envelopes! They can be used to identify items like books, and for filling out name and address information on forms.
“To the donors who have allowed our son to be a Champ, we can’t thank you enough,” wrote Jessica and Allan. “Thank you for making it so that he doesn’t see himself as less able than anyone else. You have changed his life and allowed him to be the best
he can be and enjoy life to the fullest.”
The War Amps receives no government grants. Its programs are possible through public support of the Key Tag and Address Label Service. For more information, or to order address labels, visit waramps.ca or call toll-free 1 800 250-3030.
