Lloyd Forrest

Lloyd Forrest was born on July 28, 1918, in Loggieville, New Brunswick. He enlisted with the Army in 1941 and served with the 3rd Anti-Tank Regiment as a Driver and Mechanic. In March 1945, while at Hochwald Forest, Germany, he was wounded and lost his leg.

After the war, Mr. Forrest became an Ambulance Driver in Canada. He joined The War Amps New Brunswick Branch in 1946 and held the positions of:

• National Director, New Brunswick Branch
• President and Second Vice-President, New Brunswick Branch

Mr. Forrest was known for his dedication to the Association by having attended local meetings until he was 90 years old. He was awarded the Honorary CHAMP Membership by The War Amps, and also received the French Legion Medal of Honour and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Mr. Forrest passed away on July 23, 2015.
