1923-2015

Ivan Cutts

Ivan Cutts was born on July 26, 1923, and enlisted as a rifleman with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada in July 1943. In 1945, while serving in Veen, Holland, he was injured during a night attack that resulted in the loss of his left leg below the knee.

When he returned to Canada, Mr. Cutts joined The War Amps Waterloo-Wellington Branch and later served as President.

He was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Membership, Meritorious Service Membership and Honorary CHAMP Membership from The War Amps. He also was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Canada 125 Medal for his war efforts and service to the Association.

Mr. Cutts passed away on September 11, 2015.
