Gaston Bilodeau
Gaston Bilodeau, of Quebec, served with the Régiment de la Chaudière and was wounded at Carpiquet, France, during the Second World War, resulting in the loss of his left arm.
He joined The War Amps after his return home and was one of the founding members and the first President of the Quebec Branch. He also served as a Member on the War Amps Civilian Liaison Committee.
Mr. Bilodeau felt strongly about the Association’s motto of “amputees helping amputees,” and often visited new amputees in hospitals to ease their fears arising from the loss of a limb.
