1919-2008

Albert Boulos

Albert Boulos was born on September 15, 1919, in Windsor, Newfoundland, and enlisted with the 59th Newfoundland Royal Artillery Regiment in November 1940. He was injured in March 1944 while in a convoy in the United Kingdom, resulting in the loss of his right leg below the knee.

When Mr. Boulos returned to Canada, he became actively involved with The War Amps in his home province of Newfoundland and attended Annual Meetings as a Delegate for many years. His positions within the Association included:

  • President, Secretary and Director, Newfoundland Branch
  • Delegate, The War Amps (1978-1992)

Awards:

  • Distinguished Service Membership, The War Amps
  • Honorary CHAMP Membership

Mr. Boulos was known as a man who cared deeply about others, especially children. He received the Honorary CHAMP Membership and the Distinguished Service Membership for his work with the Association.

He passed away on July 19, 2008.
